Originally an old 19th century farmhouse, this became a hotel in 1950. It is built over two levels and has kept many of the original features of the building adding to its charm and authenticity. The hotel is located in the heart of an authentic Alpine village (alt:1350) 3 kilometres from the resort of Auris en Oisans which is connected by chairlift to the main resort of Alpe d’Huez. The hotel is open all year round though the main periods for business are the summer and winter. It recently underwent a major renovation including a new roof and the creation of disabled access and accommodation. The hotel is compliant with all fire regulations and those concerning disabled access.
There is access to 250 km of ski slopes in winter and 800 km of trails in summer. Importantly the hotel is very close to where the arrival of the new cable car link between Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d’Huez is to be located. This new link will result in the area becoming the second largest linked ski area in the world.

The hotel has a spacious vaulted dining room with open fireplace, bar, fully equipped kitchen, wine cellar, disabled toilet, boiler room and large south facing exterior terrace.

There are 9 bedrooms each one equipped with telephone, shower, washbasin and WC. There is one room specially adapted for disabled customers. The rooms vary in size and can accommodate from 2 to 5 people.

Accommodation for the owners is a spacious ‘Loft’ style apartment with bathroom, mezzanine, balcony, and office space. There are also another two separate rooms used for staff accommodation. The hotel has its own laundry room,

The hotel also has a spacious technical locker which is used for bike storage in the summer when the road cycling business is at its peak.

The central heating is oil-fired and is augmented with a modern solar water heating system.
