Situated on the Canal, this sought after village is 13 km from Narbonne and 26 km from the sea, 30 km from Béziers, 47 km from Béziers airport, 54 km from Carcassonne, 64 km from its airport and 106 km from the Spanish border (around an hour). There are 4 more airports at Montpellier, Perpignan, Toulouse and Girona which are accessible within 2 hours.

The mainline train station is at Narbonne (to access the high speed TGV to Barcelona).

The village has two good restaurants, a supermarket, optician, hairdresser, snack bars, bakers, a pharmacy, Post Office, garage, tourist information and a pottery museum. In addition there is a doctor, dentist and physiotherapy services.

This is a great good touring centre with access to Narbonne, Beziers, Carcassonne, even the Chateaux Cathares near Perpignan. There is cycling on canal towpath, good food markets - Les Halles in Narbonne, Lezignan Corbieres and St Chinian are among the best in the region.
