Previously just 4 walls and a roof, the current owners have completely renovated this beautiful stone property and converted it into a stunning family home. All interior work has been carried out in 2018 and the Maison de Maître benefits now from gas underfloor heating on the ground floor, new double-glazed windows, new insulation and hot water system, powered by solar panels, as well as an anti-limescale drinking water treatment system.
One of the bedrooms has yet to be finished and will be done so by the owner to the buyer’s specification (ie. 5th bedroom, office, TV for B&B guests).
The property can also be bought fully furnished!

Translating as “master’s house”, the maison de maître is an elegant, bourgeois mansion of the 18th- or 19th-century origins that would have been the home of a minor landowner. It is not unique to a particular region in France, nor is is exclusive to a village or town setting, but its symmetrical façade with central front door, tall sash-style windows, shutters and gently pitched roof make it instantly recognisable. Behind its stately facade, a maison de maître typically has evenly proportioned interiors with high ceilings. There are often four main rooms on each floor, the ground floor reception rooms opening off a central entrance hall.
