This entirely renovated old sheepfold will surprise you by its cozy character, its great taste of decoration and its eye for quality in every corner.
Via a little lavender field in the garden (plot size 1802 sqm) towards the with listeria grown pergola above the sunny southfacing terrace, you'll enter this lovely place by one of the two entrance doors on the south side. A cozy diningroom (26sqm) with woodstove and beautiful old tiles on the floor, goes on one side towards the living room and on the other side to the open kitchen of exceptional quality. Behind the kitchen it goes on to a newly built glass veranda (8sqm) where you can enjoy the view at the garden also in wintertime. A buanderie and separate toilet are also to be found on this floor. From the living room (22sqm) with its built in woodburner, a stairs goes up to the first floor, where a library and an office are to be found on the landing (11sqm). Two bedrooms (12 and 17 sqm) and a showerroom with toilet (6 sqm) do the rest, together with a built in cabinet. Recently a garage with another buanderie (38 sqm) has been added to the property. It has its own access, but one could plan to make an interior access via the kitchen. Behind the property is a second terrace with a pergola and a covered bar/barbecue place.
The garden behind the property is of a stunning quality, meandering through flowerbeds towards a little lawn from where you can see the Montagne de Lure, the fields around the property or simply the jeu de boules down at your feet.

In the Alpes de Hautes Provence, just on the other side of the Luberon valley lies this old sheepfold, at about 3 km from the village Simiane la Rotonde, where an excellent bakery is the meeting point for the village, around a coffee in the morning or a tea in the afternoon. The medieval village of Simiane is clung onto a mountain and has a little supermarket, two restaurants, a town hall, a museum, a pottery, and not to forget an amazingly round shaped castle from the 11th century! And all this amidst abundant lavenderfields, where one can walk, cycle or drive for hours.
For shopping you can go to Apt (20 km) or Banon (15 km).
TGV in Avignon at about 1,30 hour, Airport in Marseille at about 1,30 hr.
