The market town of Montmorillon situated on the Gartempe river has bars, restaurants, supermarkets, weekly market, train station, hospital, schools, cinema and swimming pool. The town is also well known for almond macarons which are delicious.
Both Poitiers and Limoges airports are easily accessible as are road and TGV connections to Paris, Europe and the UK.
