This spacious house has been partly renovated by the current owners but needs finishing off with decoration etc. It has wood-fired central heating and the potential to extend further. It is located in a hamlet about 15 minutes from the closest amenities and 20 minutes from the medieval market town of Bourganeuf. Limoges, the region's capital, and closest airport with daily flights to the UK is 40 minutes away. Read more ...

The house is one long building with the barn and a hangar attached. It sits at the end of its land which is about 3/4 of an acre. The views from the garden are some of the best you can get in the Creuse looking south towards Bourganeuf.
There are two main entrances into the property; either the front lounge or the side hallway. On entering the hallway there is a ground floor WC (6 m²) on the right. After this is the living room (21 m²) with its fireplace and wood-burning stove which has a back boiler for the central heating, giving the cheapest means of heating the house. To the left is the large kitchen/diner (31 m²), which requires finishing. A door leads through from here into a large room (54 m²) which can be converted into further accommodation. The stairs rise up from the hallway to the first floor where there are three double bedrooms (12,13 & 18 m²), the largest of which has a fireplace. There is also a good size family bathroom and WC (11 m²) on this level. Another staircase leads up to the attic.
Outside there is a small barn attached to the house (39 m² but double height). Attached to this is a stone hangar large enough to park a car in. Under the house is a large cellar with a tank for the well water. The well is in the front of the house. The garden and land extend at the back of the house and have uninterrupted views south over several valleys. You can just about see the town of Bourganeuf in the distance.
