Mottaret is the highest of the villages in the Méribel valley situated at 1800m. Active both Summer and Winter the village benefits from a more central location with lifts departing from the centre of the village making access to the far reaches of the Three Valleys just that much easier. A higher altitude also means better snow cover and often an earlier start and later finish to the ski season. Linked to Méribel centre by the free bus service, which runs both Winter and Summer seasons, even non-skiers can take full advantage of all that Méribel has to offer.
The Méribel valley is only a 2hr drive from both Lyon and Geneva airports and 1hr during the Winter to Grenoble and Chambery. Eurostar rail services come directly into Moutiers, located a 20minute drive from Méribel centre during the Winter.
