In my opinion this is the bargain of the year. A charming house with two rooms downstairs, (kitchen, sitting room) plus a back kitchen and downstairs loo and two bedrooms on the first floor with a bathroom and a further room which could make a third bedroom although you would probably want to add a window or velux. Garage and a small row of three surprisingly spacious outbuildings, ideal for a workshop and woodshed.

10 minutes walk from the centre of L'Isle Jourdain, the very pretty and popular town on the river Vienne this would make an excellent home for a couple or small family. A long garden with magnificent tilleuil (linden) trees, cherry trees and a beautiful Acacia with fields behind. The roof was replaced about 10 years ago and it is on mains drainage.

55 km from Poitiers airport and 65 km from Limoges airport.

You come straight into the dining kitchen (23m²) which has a lovely original tommette tiled floor, new uPVC window and semi-glazed front door, a brick fireplace with an insert wood-burner and gorgeous original built-in cupboard. From the kitchen, a half-glazed door leads into a sitting room (22m²) which has french windows out on to the pretty courtyard. From the side of the kitchen is another door leading on to a wide passageway which currently has a spare oven and lots of cupboards, off which is a downstairs loo with a basin. The stairs take you up to a generous landing (about 7m²) and two double bedrooms, the front one overlooking the road (16m²) and the back one over the garden (13m²). Both these bedrooms have one low beam and some height restriction into the eaves. The potential third bedroom(9m²) is currently an attic space used for storage, but with a little bit of work could make a very nice third bedroom. There is also a bathroom (6m²) with a white bath, loo, basin and bidet, and this room definitely needs redecorating and much of the floor needs replacing as there has evidently been an overflow problem at some point.

The electrics look rather archaic and I think a complete re-wire would be sensible.
