A tranquil, well proportioned, traditional Provencal bastide house, less than 15 minutes from the heart of Nice and the beaches of the Promenade des Anglais. The entrance to this attractive property is flanked by a beautiful stone tower, part of an ancient domain once occupied by Prince Massena. The façade of this quietly elegant villa is almost hidden from view - the gardens surround the house, with terraced layers providing both sun and shade throughout the day, dotted with pine, olive and fruit trees, well-tended mature shrubs and lush lawns.

The front door opens to a large, airy and bright living space of 55m2, with high ceilings and a sumptuous view from the huge picture window. Next to the bedroom entrance, a large double glass door leads from the main living area to a private shaded terrace, suitable for dining in hot weather. On the ground floor there is a WC, numerous cupboards and storage spaces, all well thought out and designed with a practical eye, making the property suitable for daily living.

The staircase rises from the living area to an upstairs corridor, serving a bright bedroom 4 /office with French doors leading out onto another large private terrace to the rear of the house, overlooking the gardens. Bedroom 2 is at the end of the corridor, with an en-suite shower room and lovely views across the lush green hillside to the sea beyond. Bedroom 3 is bright and quiet, sharing the separate bathroom/WC with bedroom 4.

From the garden level, there is access to the cave/atelier, which is constructed under the house. Also on the same level is a utility room. Across the garden a small gate leads to the large swimming pool, surrounded by pretty shrubs and elegant lawns. Two other gates lead from the pool area to the neighbouring properties which form the other parts of the ancient bastide and who have shared use of the pool as a co-propriete (communal area) meaning the pool area is cleaned and maintained as part of the services. The road in front of the house is not a main thoroughfare, and is therefore quiet, with very little passing traffic. The plateau of Bellet itself is a remarkable area, rising straight from the centre/west of nice, 15 minutes from the Promenade des Anglais and Nice international airport. Bellet is known for its boutique vineyards, and is the only AOC area in France contained within a major urban centre. There are only 10 wine producers in Bellet, making high quality award winning red, whites and rose. There are local restaurants, a good sized convenience store, and numerous walks and quiet tracks in the area.
