The area has easy access, with a choice of airports, including Limoges, Poitiers, Bordeaux and La Rochelle. Tourists in the area come to soak in the village atmosphere, local markets and local events throughout the summer. Popular destinations include the vingt-sept market at Rouillac. Cognac and Jarnac with their Cognac houses, chateaux's. Angouleme with historic buildings including the cathedral. Car enthusiasts can enjoy the Circuit des Ramparts and there is the Band Dessinee for art and comic enthusiasts. The Charente river runs throughout the area including and is popular for boat trips. The area attracts cyclists throughout all seasons.

About me

Having lived in France for over 10 years, I found being involved in village life is a great way of integrating in your new community, being a regular in the local shops and gathering places you would soon become accustomed to seeing local people and amongst other activities, boules played in the village square. An “appero” aperitif, is a sociable way of getting to know new friends, often offered is the local Pineau, Cognac. On a sunny day we enjoy a trip to the coast at Royan or La Rochelle.
