I have always had a special relationship with France because of my family. My father is French and I used to come on holiday to visit my grandparents who lived in the south of France every year. We moved to the Dordogne in 1997 when my parents bought a horse breeding stud; consequently I come from a multicultural background as we lived in Sweden for many years. I speak French, English and of course, Swedish. I have worked as an estate agent for 10 years in this area and can offer a pleasant and successful buying and selling experience with a good knowledge of the local housing market - I have lived and worked here for many years. I can also offer advice regarding local artisans and services. I have a great passion for this area and love introducing people to this beautiful part of France. I look forward to meeting you and helping you find your dream home in this wonderful region of France, between Périgueux and Bergerac and all it has to offer.
I live in Vergt, which is a village between Périgueux and Bergerac. It is known as the strawberry growing capital of France. Périgueux has a population of 30,000 and is a fascinating city full of interesting tourist attractions, including the old town, the cathedral of Saint-Front, the museum of Vesunna with Gallo-Roman remains. There is a large Saturday morning market selling specialities of the region such as fruit filled with foie gras, walnut oil, truffles and confit de canard. The airport of Bergerac, Roumaniere has developed over the years and is well served by all the budget airlines. Bergerac is famous for it's wines and a visit to the wine museum and the maison du tourisme et du vin de Monbazillac is a must. We have easy access to the airport and motorway A89 from Bordeaux. This is a peaceful and rural area where you can easily become integrated with the local French people and their way of life. Our landscape is a mix of forest, rolling hills and uncrowded villages, however if you want a mixture of city and rural life this area offers both. Welcome to the good life !View Aquitaine Information Homepage
