After living in the south-east of England for many years, we bought our dream home in France in 2018 in the South of Deux Sevres, close to the borders with the Vienne and Charente regions. The area offers so much: beautiful countryside, historic cities and towns, rural tranquility, fields of sunflowers, access to the coast and the marshes of the Marais Poitevin, wine and cognac regions, TGV to Paris and beyond, plus several airports with routes to the UK.
Originally from the Midlands, I started my new life as an Agent Commercial with Leggett in 2019 after we settled here permanently, having spent many years working for the National Health Service. I love the variety of my new role. No two days are the same. Indeed, no two properties are the same and there's something here for everyone. It's certainly a more relaxed and healthier way of life and definitely beats the daily commute into London.
