Our home is in what is known locally as “The Golden Triangle” between Morlaix, Guingamp and Lannion. The fantastic North Brittany Coast is easily accessed, with hidden coves and sandy beaches. It’s a beautiful part of Cote d’Armor, full of wonderfully mysterious woodland, beautiful beaches and wide open spaces, all waiting for exploration. There are also beautiful homes here, at reasonable prices, there is something for everyone from traditional Breton cottages and longeres to Manoires and Chateaux. If you want to escape and sample Breton hospitality it is an ideal place for a holiday home with easy access to ports via the N12. Or if you want to make the move permanent, like we have, there are some fantastic properties, many that can be developed to provide an income.
We have been married for over 40 years, having met at that wonderful dating agency, Young Farmers! Mike was a Woodwork Teacher, a role which developed and changed into Design Technology. Nicola was a Secretary. As time went on, along with 3 children, we decided we wanted a complete change, a move to France. Unfortunately, this was the late 80s and price houses in the UK plummeted, and so did our plans. We put them on hold waiting for the children to complete their educations and make their own lives. Fourteen years ago everything fell into place and we made our move to Brittany. Originally from Norfolk, we have lived in Suffolk, Shropshire and latterly Ukraine, where Mike taught for 4 years. Now, we are home, with a new career, selling properties and running our gites, but above all, enjoying ourselves. We live in a converted cart shed, with 2 gites and a large garden, which is Nicola's haven, with fantastic views overlooking the Foret de Beffou. A tranquil spot - our special place.View Brittany Information Homepage
