About my area

If you're a nature lover, then you will love the Limousin. Known as France's 'Lake district', and made up of three departments, the Haute-Vienne ,the Corrèze, and the Creuse. It is a beautiful, unspoilt part of France, with an ever changing landscape. Clear rivers teem with fish, as do the many lakes. A cyclists dream, with winding, empty roads,and stunning views around every bend. And endless miles of pathways and roads to be discovered for the serious, and not so serious walkers. Bustling market towns,and beautiful villages, festivals celebrating everything from the saints to the black pudding! There really is so much to love about this part of France.

About me

I moved with my family, to the Creuse, in 2005. We settled on this area by accident, as we originally were heading to the Cognac region. But after a slight detour, we camped for several days , wanting to see more, and bought a house after five days. Never did make it to Cognac, but did end up camping for a further three months, until we completed on the house. It's a wonderful place to raise a family, and just for a much slower pace of living, and healthier, more. peaceful lifestyle.
