About my area

My area is a breathtakingly beautiful yet wild part of the Dordogne/Perigord that largely includes the Pays 'd'Ans' a manorial name which is affixed to several village names such as Badefols d'Ans and La Forges d'Ans and stretches from Savignac Les Eglises and Coulaures, through to Hautefort with its huge fortress and surrounding medieval villages on hilltops and river valleys close to where I was brought up and know so well. It is in part heavily forested with walnut and truffle plantations but also has large clearings with amazing vistas steeped in history both English and French where virtually every house is in stone and has its own provenance, its own story to reveal through discovery.

About me

I was born in Sweden to English/Swedish parents who emigrated to the Dordogne in 1975 when I was a child and we lived above the Auvézère Gorge not far from Hautefort. I am therefore fluent in Swedish, English and French. Following my French education and university I spent 9 years working in Toronto, Canada. On my return to the Perigord I met my husband who had just bought a beautiful and very old farmhouse in the canton of Savignac Les Eglises and am now a mother of 3 nearly grown up children who were all born here. Restoring our house has kindled my passion for properties in a region I love and I therefore wanted to be a part of helping people find the best property possible to suit their requirements and putting my extensive local knowledge, its laws and customs at their disposal.
