About my area

In the heart of the Charente countryside and yet so close to all amenities, this area is well known for Cognac production and has vast rolling fields of arable land often laid to sunflowers giving the classic sunny vision of the gentle laid-back lifestyle. There is a main line railway station in Angouleme giving access to a mere 2 hour journey to Paris by TGV. Mansle, Aigre and Rouillac are attractive country farming towns active year-round and appealing to tourists looking for a quiet but fun, active and traditional holiday destination. The sea is within an easy driving distance, the cities of Angouleme and Poitiers are nearby and the local communities are always welcoming.

About me

I have lived here in the Charente since 2000 and have worked in French real estate for almost 18 years. My family and I moved here in search of enriching our lifestyle to avoid the inevitable continuing rat race so prevalent in the UK and our 2 daughters have now grown up to have French families of their own. We have experienced the move to France with almost every challenge you can face and would hope to be able to offer my experience and knowledge of French real estate to my clients searching for their dream French home and lifestyle.
