About my area

We took our time and travelled over a great deal of France before we found our ideal location to build our ‘ Forever Home ‘ We decided to settle in The Midi -Pyrénées in Occitanie Region of Aveyron bordering the Tarn region by its famous Viaduc du Viaur . We were mainly drawn to the area by the wonderful traditional stone buildings and the affordability of property in this area with the added bonuses of four wonderful seasons , the spectacular views rolling countryside and mountain views , in particularly the historical towns that surround us such as Conques , Albi and Rodez not forgetting the essential superb amenities such as local Hospitals in Rodez and Albi with airports in Toulouse and Rodez great trains services into Toulouse and even into Paris. I can honestly say that the local people really welcomed us into their wonderful community and we are honored to be able to continue to share it with them .

About me

I was first bitten by the ‘French Bug’ when I was just seventeen and left my family home in Newick East Sussex to live and work the 5 eme region of Paris for a few years where I picked up French and my future husband and the rest as they say Is history … My journey took me to Tehran where I taught in a Language School and gathered another string to my bow and after four years became fluent in Farsi which I went on to use as an interpreter back in the U.K. for many years. Whilst raising a large family I also worked full time as an Estate Agent in East Sussex and managed a branch for almost twenty years . We decided to slow down our lifestyle a little and move back to France where our life together had initially begun . I would be delighted to be able to assist you in your property search in my area be it Chateau to Gite !
