The department of Bouches du Rhône (the mouth of the Rhone) in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, offers a huge variety landscapes, from the elegant architecture of Aix-en- Provence and the city of Marseilles (the 2nd biggest city in France) with its stunning old port, to the surrounding rural villages and the bordering Provençal hills filled with the olive groves and vineyards described by the famous author Marcel Pagnol. Then there are the markets, the wines and café terraces and lovely Mediterranean coastal towns such as the famous creeks of Cassis.
Originally from the Paris region, I built my life in London where I lived for a dozen years, then after a sabbatical year in Haute Provence, I was seduced by the south and settled there for 15 years. In love with the sea and nostalgic of the urban atmosphere, I chose to move closer to Marseilles and settled in the town of La Penne sur Huveaune, next to Aubagne, Marcel Pagnol's hometown. The cultural life offered by the cities of Marseille and Aix en Provence, the countless hiking paths in the hills and creeks and the proximity of the Alps for skiing but especially the Mediterranean Sea and its beaches, make this place an ideal strategic choice. By joining Leggett, I made the wish to share this richness with my clients by helping them realize their living project under the sun.
