This beautiful miniature chateau, with a magnificent inner courtyard, has over 20 rooms, many of which have shower/bathrooms and WC en suite. It is set in the heart of the tourist triangle of the Gard, Ardèche and Cévenne national park. It currently has two independant appartments attached, and the possibility of a third.
Just 20 minutes by car away from a large town with all amenities, (and two minutes from the nearest village with baker’s, butcher’s, PO and cafés), and an hour from Nimes airport, this delectable chateau would make a superb chambres d’hotes, or country home.
This house has been lovingly restored in period style, and enjoyed. There is still lots of potential. Kitchens and some bathrooms need modernising.

You enter the Chateau grounds through decorative wrought iron gates, into the grounds..or the “parc”, as the French would call it. The first building is the hay barn, and built in is the old bread oven. Here there is also the pigeon loft, and the family chapel.
The next outbuilding is the stables, with their original mangers. All these outbuilding could be converted into garages or gites, if so desired.
Further on from here is the vegetable garden, with its own well.
From this part of the grounds you go through another wrought iron gate, across a narrow lane, to the main house. You enter the beautiful inner courtyard, 120m2, - an ideal place for eating out, late suppers, surrounded by walls on two sides, and the chateau on the third side. This is a lovely sun filled area to sit out and relax, or eat, in.
The first main room in the chateau, on the ground floor, is the original kitchen, with a huge fireplace, and another bread oven, 40m2. Next you have the downstairs dining room, (14m2) with lovely windows looking out onto the courtyard. Beyond here are the cellars, with original vaulted ceilings….these contain the boiler for the central heating system, and there is also a large wine cellar.
On the first floor you have the main reception rooms. Most of these are paved in rich black asphalt tiles, quarried from nearby Barjac – very impressive. On this floor there is:
• Salon (30m2) with fireplace
• Very large dining room-reception room, leading onto a terrace room through glass doors, with a fireplace
• 30m2 bedroom/library
• Adjacent kitchen (needs updating)
• Further dining room, with with shower room and WC behind
On the second floor you have:
• Shower room and WC
• Bedroom (16m2)
• Anti chamber (16m2)
• Kitchen ( with terra cotta tiles on the floor)
• Shower room and WC
• Bedroom (24m2)
• Two further bedrooms
• From here you have access to the attic space
In the west wing there are two independant appartments, currently rented, with two bedrooms each.
The property is heated by electricity and granule fed stove.
