This is a super project to really get your teeth into - a stunning maison de maitre which is partly habitable but to be honest the whole house will need renovation work, but this gives you the perfect blank canvas to fulfil your dreams.

All the rooms have tall windows through which the sun streams in, and high ceilings giving the house a real feeling of grandeur. There are lots of lovely original features such as coving and ceiling roses, as well as the beautiful marble fireplaces in many of the rooms.

The house has a large walled garden behind which at the moment is really overgrown, making it very difficult to see the ancient trees that I'm sure are there.
Surrounded by its own land on every side and a good camouflage of woodland it feels really secret and hidden away, but in fact is just a short drive from Poitiers and is less than 15km from the CHU at Poitiers. The spacious entrance hall (approx: 18m²) has a lovely mosaic tiled floor and leads to living rooms both to the right and the left and straight ahead is the beautiful turned staircase going upstairs. To the right is the former dining room (approx: 26m²) and this is the area where the most recent incumbent was living so is probably the most habitable bit of the house. Beyond the dining room is the kitchen (approx: 19m²) which is a good sized room featuring a beautiful stone chimney piece, a wood-burning range and huge built-in storage cupboards. There is a back door from the kitchen which leads outside to the garages and courtyard parking area which is graced by the most beautiful and bountiful fig tree. Behind the kitchen is the back kitchen (approx: 2.5m²) which houses the sink, plumbing for the washing machine and more storage, as well as a staircase down to the beautiful vaulted cellar (approx: 15m²) where you can store your wine in ideal conditions.
