La Plagne, Paradiski is one of the world’s great ski areas. Plagne Montalbert ( 1350m) offers the charm of a village with fast access to all of the high altitude skiing on offer---La Plagne has 70% of its slopes above 2,000m. The local slopes offer some lovely tree lined skiing. The excellent Le Forporet , just above the village, is one of La Plagne’s best mountain restaurant stops.
In summer the village offers cycling, walking, mountain biking and parapenting with canoeing and rafting down in the valley on the Isere river.
Self drive; it is an approx 10 hour drive from the main channel ports.
By rail; the nearest staion is Aime la Plagne some 20 minutes away by car or taxi. A direct Eurostar service runs to Aime in the ski season.
By air; Chambery, Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble are the main airports serving the resort.
