About my area

The Bas Chablais stretches from the town of Evian-Les-Bains all the way to Veigy on the Swiss border. It runs along the beautiful lake Geneva or Lac Léman as it is called locally and reaches all the way inland to the base of the Vallée Verte. There are many picturesque and medieval villages notably Yvoire which dates back to 1306 and is classed as one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”. Excenevex is also a unique lakeside village with the only natural sandy beach in the Haute-Savoie. It is also ideally situated for commuting to Switzerland, by road to Geneva or by ferry to Nyon and Lausanne. About me

I moved to the Alps region with my children in 2011 after residing more years than I care to remember in Brittany. We were totally seduced by the fantastic diversity of the landscapes, going from the tranquil lakeside to the beautiful snow capped mountains. Living in Messery since 2015, we find the area exciting and at the same time relaxing, as so many activities are available catering for both individual and family outings. Whether you enjoy going to the lake, relaxing in the garden or skiing, everything seems only a stone's throw away.
