About my area

I live near the famous Canal du Midi, beautiful river Cesse and the River Aude in Languedoc Rousillion, now renamed Occitanie. It is an amazing location with such beauty, history and an abundance of things to see and do. You have the countryside, with its many ‘plus beaux villages’, châteaux, rolling hills, the Pyrenees in the distance, enchanting forests, vineyards as far as the eye can see, crystal clear rivers for swimming, and the Mediterranean beaches with their cool pop-up beach bars. Then, if you want some city life and amazing architecture there are many cosmopolitan cities close by such as Narbonne, Beziers, Perpignan, Carcassonne and Montpellier. We have 3 airports under an hour away, and Toulouse and Girona just an hour and half drive. If you fancy skiing, or a few days in Northern Spain it is just a short hop in the car!

About me

My husband and I decided a while back that we wanted to live somewhere with a better climate and better quality of life. We travelled to many different countries and in the end narrowed it down to the South of France, and then this little hotspot area we now call home. Languedoc really is such a lifestyle change. The air quality is fantastic, we eat more healthily and really enjoy life. Since living here, we have renovated one maison de maître and turned it into a very successful chambres d’hôtes, and we are now in the process of our second project. My husband does most of the building work and I help out when I can, painting and doing the interior design. We absolutely love life now and every day is an adventure! I have a background in business, finance, teaching and art. I particularly love property and interior design, so working for such a prestigious international agent like Leggett has been an absolute pleasure! I get to see some amazing houses and meet such interesting people, helping them to realise their dreams.
