About my area

This region has everything you need for a perfect lifestyle – and best of all, it’s right on your doorstep! Our very own mountain range, Le Caroux, offers stunning scenery and fantastic walks. Or, in just a couple of hours you can be admiring the snow-capped Pyrenees before returning home in the evening to enjoy a fabulous seafood meal at one of the restaurants on our romantic coast. The villages and towns of the Orb Valley offer a gentle, relaxed way of life. There are friendly bars and great restaurants – and most of the year you can sit outside. Almost all the villages have their own markets, where you can stroll in bright sunshine. The area also has a rich cultural heritage with museums and galleries, cinemas and shows – as well as ancient castles and chapels tucked away in the mountains. For sports enthusiasts, there’s a huge variety to choose from: hiking, climbing (for which the Caroux is renowned)), canoeing, rugby, football, cycling (for all levels) and many more. Many of these activities are suitable for children too, so the whole family can enjoy them together. If you fancy a day’s shopping surrounded by beautiful architecture, Montpellier is only an hour away. Afterwards, you can relax with a coffee (or a glass of regional wine) on the famous Place de la Comedie. And, of course, we mustn’t forget the wine! The region produces some superb wines with the names of Faugères and Saint Chinian perhaps foremost among them. Many of the wine makers welcome visitors to their vineyards to try their wines – and hopefully buy a few bottles. If you don’t want to go so far, in 30 minutes you can be walking in the beautiful city centre of Beziers – and not much further away you’ll find the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean.

About me

I was looking for a new job when a friend told me about the opportunity become an Estate Agent with Leggett. After 13 years of working in a notary office, becoming an estate agent was a natural step and adds a new dimension to my work. Buying or selling your house is a major life event and to be able to help people realise their dreams in this way brings great satisfaction in my work. I was born in the region and now live in a small village at the foot of our beautiful mountain massif "Le Caroux". I love to go hiking up there and often stop right at the top to admire the beautiful scenery laid out below me. There’s also the chance for encounters with wildlife: perhaps crossing paths with the deer or wild mountain sheep. I am never sure who is more surprised: me or them! I always wanted to stay in the region where I was born because for me it has the ideal combination of peaceful living within easy reach of the sea and the mountains. I hope I will soon be able to help you understand why I love the region so much!
