About my area

The Normandy region covers five departments: Calvados, Eure, Manche, Orne and Seine-Maritime. I live in Vernon, a pretty town of 25,000 inhabitants and only an hour from Paris. The department of Eure, and particularly the region of Vernon, is recognized touristically for its impressionist painters and in particular the village of Giverny located just 5km away. As we are very close to Paris (1 hour by train or car) it is therefore ideal for a secondary residence. Normandy is particularly known for its coastline: Deauville, Honfleur, Dieppe, Cherbourg, etc... and its D-Day beaches Its gastronomy: Camembert, Livarot, Neufchâtel, Pont-L'Évêque, scallops, oysters, cider, calvados, etc. Eure is very rural. You immediately escape from city life when you arrive in Eure.

About me

They say the grass is always greener of the other side of the fence. Leaving more than 20 years ago the white and windy winter of Montreal, I can now say in my case it is true. Living in the middle of this unique region, where others come for vacation, and find warm summers, mild winters, sandy beaches, fine food, … a dream come true.
