In a quiet hamlet about 2 miles from the nearest village, this lovely detached house has the potential to be really special. It currently consists of two rooms downstairs and three rooms upstairs. Although currently lived in, it needs a new kitchen, a septic tank and bathroom to make it habitable but this is reflected in the price.

From the kitchen there is a door to a storage room which could be converted to make a back kitchen or bathroom. The windows have recently been replaced with wooden double glazed windows. Upstairs there is a large room to renovate and two slightly smaller rooms, all of which need some work, though nothing major. The south-west facing garden is behind the house and is level and very private. About 50 metres from the garden is a piece of land of 1320m2, so ideal for some sheep or a pony. The hamlet is set amid agricultural fields of sunflowers and cereals. There is a lovely village a couple of miles away with a leisure lake for canoeing, fishing and a swimming area with a lifeguard. The larger town of L’Isle Jourdain is 10km away. You are spoilt for choice for access to airports, with 3 good airports with cheap UK flights all less than an hour away – Poitiers, Angoulême and Limoges. This is a beautiful house with lovely features but it does require some work to become habitable, but nothing too intimidating. Once it is done, it will be an extremely special home.
