| This pleasant modern villa is ready to move into and is sold furnished. On one floor it consists of a high L shaped living room with separate dining and sitting area and a corner kitchen. There is a huge open fireplace and exposed beams for a pleasant country feel although the house was built about 20 years ago. There are two bedrooms, a shower room and a separate WC.

This little development of similar houses is situated a few km from Serralongue, a small village on south facing slopes of the Vallespir region of the Pyrenees Orientales. Although it’s a little isolated there are several mobile shops that pass including a baker and fishmonger. Serralongue itself has small local shops and a bar or St Laurant de Cerdans, a little further has a superette and local shops, bank etc. The views from the hamlet are across to the higher mountains of the Canigou and Carlit massifs.
This is a lovely area for walking and riding and is about an hour from the Mediterranean coast. Although at high altitude, there is very little snow here because it’s so far south and so close to the sea, making it always accessible even in the depth of winter. The mountains on this side of the valley are not too high and can be easily climbed all year round.
Down the valley, the nearest shops, bars restaurants etc. are at Arles sur Tech or Prats de Mollo, which both have a selection of local shops including a superette, as well as schools, doctors dentists etc. For bigger supermarkets and more services, the lively market town of Céret is about 40 minutes drive for bigger supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Céret is also a sub prefecture where most administrative tasks can be done.
