Craon hosts a small weekly market, has its fair share of restaurants, boulangeries, shops, large supermarket, DIY and garden stores, post office, pharmacies and hairdressers. Not to mention schools, doctor, dentist and a vet with horse specialists. 10 kilometres south will take you to the town of SEGRE which is a very attractive town with the river running through its centre.
Within easy reach: Laval - famous for its river and Christmas lights. The city of Rennes, capital of Brittany, with its mix of old and new, offers everything a city can offer, and then some. Nantes (sixth largest city in France) To the south, Angers (50kms is a tourist paradise with a thriving commercial side and beautiful chateau. Easy access to Nantes and Le Mans. (famous for the 24 hour race)
Driving west for just over an hour will take you to the Atlantic coast and the chic La Baule. Same travelling time north and you reach the ferry port and amazing walled city of glistening granite - St Malo, a captivating and unique historic town with fantastic architecture.
