These two large townhouses have been used previously as apartments, you could continue this with internal renovation or you could create a magnificent chambres d’hote or hotel.
It is nigh-on impossible to give a layout description of this property, if you are looking for a large property with enormous potential then look no further. Even the vendor became lost whilst showing me around. You enter the house on the right first, on the ground floor you will find 7/8 rooms including a bathroom and kitchen, fabulous high ceilings. Many of the windows have double glazing too. A hallway and stairs lead to the first floor and a further 8 rooms, again a mix of living space, kitchens and bathrooms. A further staircase leads to the loft of over 100m2, this however has low beams so makes an ideal storage space but wouldn’t convert easily to more living space (assuming 16 rooms so far wasn’t enough). There is then a basement in this house with a further 3 rooms and bathroom with separate access from outside. Did I mention the views to the rear are also magnificent. Now for the second larger, yes larger house, it is built over a huge basement area, more akin to a barn, with at least 100m2 of usable space and then a second space of 100m2, this has double height and could easily be used for more living space. You enter the house form the front into a lovely entrance hallway and four large rooms of 10, 18, 25 and 30m2 all with high ceilings which still have the original cornicing in place, there are also large original fireplaces. The stairs lead to the first floor where 5 further rooms and a bathroom can be found, the second floor has a further 6 rooms from 10 – 20m2, again magnificent views at the back and some windows are again double glazed. A loft of some 40m2 allowed me to see the good state of repair the roof is in as it was replaced less than 10 years ago. There is a terraced garden to the rear and ample parking at the front to make this an amazing property. The house has previously been used as apartments and it would be fairly easy to re-create this use as there are already separate electricity circuits and meters in place in some parts. Or you could realise your dream of creating a wonderful home and business within walking distance of the village centre and all commerces. As I said though don’t forget the Sat Nav. For the visit.
