Yes, you get it all! There is something about this roadside house that arrests the eye, marking it out as something a bit special. It is really two houses, or once was - half until recently has been a workshop but could readily be restored to domestic use. Each of the houses had three main rooms on the ground floor, warmed by massive fireplaces with separate entrances onto the street. At each end there is a turrety thing housing an upstairs room - originally perhaps symmetrical - that in the now-domestic wing has been heightened and nears completion, although there is not yet a proper stair. The workshop at the rear could be converted but perhaps deserves to be pulled down to increase the outside space. It, as always, is up to you and your imagination. The town is a quiet place, belying its pivotal position on the main train line from Limoges to Brive (airports and stuff) and close proximity to the D704 Limoges highway. The poste is opposite and shops a stroll away. I still can't believe the price - I'm thinking of buying it.
