Set on the edge of this pretty hamlet between the towns of St Laurent sur Gorre and Oradour sur Vayres, you will find this pretty barn conversion. All of the work has been carried out by professional tradesmen and the standard of work is immediately apparent. You enter through what used to be the old barn door. This has been impressively converted with full glazing allowing light to flood in. The barn doors are retained in order to act as shutters. The entrance area is open plan with an informal sitting area at the front and then a dining table and chairs to the rear. A space of over 60m2 providing ample living space and the exposed beams and stone along with a fabulous galleried landing set an impressive tone. To the right the original animal stall uprights have been left to create a natural partition for the formal lounge. A cosy space set around a traditional wood burning stove. On the right hand side at the rear there is an open plan farmhouse style kitchen. The centre island making the best use of space. The first bedroom is set to the left of the living room on the ground floor and has its own en-suite shower room, with WC and basin. A good sized double room of around 14m2. The galleried landing is reached via the wooden staircase from the sitting room. This is an excellent example of how to carry out a renovation, with a sympathetic eye to details and retention of the inbuilt character these stone barns display.
