This is one of the most accessible areas of France: a TGV train station is a short walk away and it is less than a half hour drive to St Malo and Dinard where you can catch a ferry or a plane to various parts of the UK: St Malo – Portsmouth, Poole and the Channel Islands; Dinard via RyanAir to London, Bristol or East Midlands. Other transport options include ferries to Roscoff, Caen or Cherbourg (1.5-3hrs) or flights to Brest, Rennes or Nantes (1 – 2 hrs).
Lamballe is a beautiful town with many half timbered buildings and a thriving weekly market while St Brieuc is one of Cotes d’Armor’s most exciting towns with great shopping, good restaurants and nightlife available – for those who want it. Then of course there is the beautiful Emerald Coast – plenty of beaches and coastal villages as near as 10 minutes drive away and being so close to St Brieuc Bay, you have the option of heading north east towards Pleneuf, Erquy and Fréhel or north west to St Quay Portrieux and Paimpol – what a location!
