To find the house, you park in the nearby parking area and then wander through the charming back streets. On entering the property, you find yourself in a little hallway with the original wooden staircase in front of you on the right, and also a door to the kitchen on your left. The wall between is non supporting so you could easily knock it down to create a larger living space. The kitchen does need some work but is plenty big enough for a table and chairs, and maybe a sofa down the far end. There is a functioning open fire which should provide all the heating you will need for this space. On this floor there is also the bathroom, with w.c. and shower. Again, some modernisation would really help to give this space a makeover. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with a dividing wall between. Only some small work would be required if you preferred one large bedroom. There is also a wooden door leading up to the attic. Although this part of the house is not high enough to create more bedrooms, you could consider lifting off the roof and making a beautiful roof terrace to add some outside space to the property. This property would make a cosy holiday home, or, if you were working in the area, perhaps during the week, it is ideal for a commute to either Toulouse or Carcassonne. Yes, it needs a little work, but with that effort would come a cute property, full of character.
