About me I worked for years in the fast paced world of the Printing Industry before like many of my colleagues realising that there’s more to life than the daily grind. Now I can enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace in the evening and watch the odd car go past on the distant road. Here every day is different, the way of life so much more relaxed and the cost of living much more realistic. I’ve met lots of new people from all walks of life and they all love living here in France. It’s certainly a challenge learning a whole new language late in life but the locals have been so friendly and welcoming that they have made it a joy not a chore. Now its great to be able to work helping more people realise their dreams of living in a beautiful country that upholds so many of the traditional values in its way of life. I always have the same advice for anyone thinking of making the same move, come and try it, what have you got to lose. | | About my area I cover the North Haute Vienne, the Western Creuse and the South of the Indre. Right in the centre of France these three each have their own charm but all share the beautiful green rolling hills, rivers, lakes and woodlands that characterise this area of France. Likened by many to the Lake District, here you will find true French living. Property prices here are very reasonable and the French people are so welcoming. The climate is just right, not too hot, and not too cold and there’s a lot to do here for all tastes from Golf and Fishing to Art and History. For me this is the perfect balance between being able to experience the French culture and way of life combined with the accessibility to the rest of France, the UK and Europe. So central that from this area you could be gliding down the ski slopes in under 2 hours, appreciating the sites of Paris in 3 hours, sitting on the beach in under 2 hours or back in the UK in six. Limoges airport serves the area well with daily flights to several UK destinations, Paris, Lyon and Brussels and the TGV links the area with the Eurostar at Lille, the Paris airports and Disneyland. There’s so much more to say about this area that you really need to come and take a look for yourself to really appreciate what it has to offer. |
